 "From Funky Fusion to Cutting Edge Cabaret (C)", Yasmine, who has an extensive background in ballet, tap, jazz, & Middle Eastern dance, is the studio owner of Mid-East Dance by Yasmine and director of Magic Hips Dance Troupe. Yasmine spent much of 2004 touring with the Bellydance Superstars, performing in major cities around the United States as well as Barcelona, Spain. Yasmine is well recognized for her dynamic and precise movements and her ability to portray the music, which she carefully extends to her students - grooming them for their own spectacular performances. As well as being a sought after instructor due to her personable and fun teaching approach, Yasmine's distinct performance style is often referred to as "Cutting Edge Cabaret."

Nominated in Zaghareet’s 2003 Golden Belly Awards as Best Kept Secret, as Instructor of the year in 2005 and featured on the cover of the May/June 2007 issue of Zaghareet, Yasmine also appears in IAMED's Bellydance-O-Rama vol. 3 DVD and appeared as a featured guest artist for Dr. Samy Farag's 2008 CD Release Gala Show in Texas. Friday, July 23      –    Doors open at 6:30 pm for registration & shopping

                                    7:00 – 10:00 pm – Yasmine’s Funky Fusion Combos to Choreography-                                                              The combos presented in this class include some cabaret technique mixed with a spicy                                           blend of tribal style and alternative belly dance fusion topped with Yasmine’s own Funky                                     Flare that can be used for a variety of modern routines! Funky Fusion blends the power                                        and the beauty of tribal and cabaret!  .

Saturday, July 24 –    Doors open at 8:30 am for shopping and registration

                                    9:30 – Noon – Let’s Travel   

                                    In this dance form we need to utilize our dance space in our entrances, exits and within                                      our routines! Yasmine will demonstrate some of her favorite traveling steps and                                                     variations through combinations to move you across the dance floor. Including classy &                                             sassy hips, 3/4 variations, the grand entrance, chaine turns, and more!

                                12:15 – 1:30 pm – Shopping / Lunch – Buffet available

                        1:30 – 4:00 pm – Shimmy Drill & Dynamic Drum Solo

                        Yasmine will discuss finding your “Happy Shimmy” and help you improve your                                                   shimmying power & endurance, because having a strong & confident shimmy can be                                             enough! Then we will put your “Happy Shimmy” to the test in one of Yasmine’s                                                   dynamic drum solos which show the power of the drums through the magic of the                                                 movement. Yasmine’s interpretation & style of Drum solos are great for soloists and                                              even more dynamic as a group!

                        4:00 – 4:30 pm – Shopping, doors close at 4:30 pm to set up for the show                                                                                                                                           Evening Show - 6:30 – Doors open for Evening show & shopping NO VIDEO CAMERAS!!!!!

                        7:30 – Show starts!!  A video of the show will be available.
